Our garden of Eden-

When we bought our house, almost 5 years ago, we fell in love with the property. It's only about 1/3 acre, but it gets lots of sun. ALL the other houses we looked at were covered with redwood, which = no sun. I think we were sold on the property and forgot to look at the house:) It's been quite a project!

When we bought it, there were several mature grapevine, native blackberries, a green apple tree, 2 persimmons, a nectarine, and a few plum trees.

Since then we have planted a pineapple guava, pomegranate, blueberries. red raspberries, 2 more nectarines, 2 cherries, 2 more apples, 2 pears, an almond tree, and a total of 19 grapevines. Good start, but there's room for more:)

This is the first year I've really started thinking about landscaping/hardscaping and planting non-edibles (although the deer seem to think everything is edible). Last month we planted 2 bare root roses and a second lilac. Oh, and we have planted lots of bulbs in the past. They've just started now, mostly daffodils and hyacinth.
